Area in square feet
Most waterproofing is priced per sq ft of the area treated. Measure the terrace, bathroom floor or wall height, and make sure the quote states the area it is based on.
Condition of the surface
A sound, clean slab needs less preparation than one with open cracks, a poor slope or old failed coatings. Crack grouting, slope correction and removing old layers add work and cost, but skipping them is why many repairs fail.
The system used
A thin paint-on coat costs less than a reinforced polyurethane system, but lasts less time. For example, our MYK Arment PU coating is offered at a single rate of ₹70 per sq ft, applied in two coats with mesh reinforcement.
Ask which product and how many coats are included, and whether mesh reinforcement is used.
Access and details
Parapet walls, drains, pipe openings and corners all need extra detailing. Difficult access can also affect the effort involved.
Warranty and testing
Check what is promised in writing. We give a 10-year warranty on our work and test terraces with a 48-hour flood test before handover.
How to compare quotes
Compare like with like: same area, same preparation, same product and coats, and the same warranty. The cheapest quote often leaves out preparation, which is where leaks return.
